KRÜ Esports, Leviatán, and 100 Thieves have already secured spots in the VCT Americas Stage 1 Playoffs. However, the competition for the remaining three slots is quite tough.

What's surprising is that despite being at the bottom of the Group A points table and suffering heartbreaking losses against Evil Geniuses and LOUD, Masters Madrid Champions, Sentinels are still in contention for the next stage.

If you are wondering what exactly needs to happen for Sentinels to make it through, both of the following conditions need to be met:

  1. G2 and NRG must lose their games by 2-0, and Sentinels need to win against Furia by 2-0.
  2. Even if the first condition is fulfilled, Sentinels needs to win both maps by a massive margin to improve their round differential and make it better than G2 and NRG.

While there are decent chances for the first thing to happen, G2 Esports' high-round differential is quite hard to beat.
