Madden 25 Release Date Confirmed, June Reveal Announced

With the NFL Draft now in rear-view mirror, many fans are already looking ahead to the Madden 25 release date. Before the regular season kicks off, Madden 25 will be bringing NFL action back to gamers.

Now that EA Sports College Football 25 is bringing that franchise back, the Madden 25 release date announcement has arrived even earlier than expected. If you want to make your plans now, we've also got details on how to secure early access to play even before the Madden 25 release date.

Madden 25 Release Date (2024)

While most major Madden 25 reveals are still a few weeks away, the release date has already been confirmed thanks to the new EA Sports MVP Bundle that'll come with both Madden 25 and EA Sports College Football 25.

The official Madden 25 release date is August 16, 2024. This is exactly in line with the release date we'd previously predicted, and it puts the game out during preseason ahead of the actual regular season kickoff.

Unfortunately, little else is known about the game just yet as it was only announced to get pre orders live alongside the EA Sports College Football 25 reveal. The full Madden 25 reveal is set for June 11, 2024.

What will Madden 25 be called?

Now, it's important we address an elephant in the room that is likely already on the mind of many players. Technically, the Madden 25 release date was August 27, 2013. EA Sports released a title dubbed Madden NFL 25 instead of naming that year's game Madden 14 in line with all their other releases.

The reasoning behind this was to celebrate 25 years of Madden, as the original John Madden Football was released for the Apple II back on June 1, 1988. After years of jokes, we now know that they're just going to call the new release Madden 25 as well.

Madden 25 Early Access Release Date

For players who don't want to wait until the worldwide launch, there will be an option to secure early access and play Madden 25 a full three days early. If you pre order the EA Sports MVP Bundle that also includes College Football 25 or pre order the Madden 25 Deluxe Edition, the early access release date will be August 13, 2024.

The same day will likely also mark the release of the Madden 25 trial, which is exclusive to EA Play subscribers including those who have EA Play through an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. However, as usual this is expected to be a time-limited trial with players only allowed to play for 10 hours before having to purchase a full version of the game.
